Privacy Policy
Effective June 5, 2026. This policy explains how Our Story collects, uses, and protects information.
1. Information We Collect
We collect account information such as name, email address, authentication provider details, profile photo, partner invite status, subscription status, and settings. We also store content you choose to add, including memories, photos, bucket list items, countdowns, question answers, messages, voice notes, and attachments.
2. Payment Information
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers. We may store subscription identifiers, billing status, plan status, customer identifiers, and related payment metadata needed to provide paid access.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to provide the app, authenticate users, connect partners, store and sync private workspaces, process subscriptions, prevent abuse, improve reliability, communicate service notices, and comply with legal obligations.
4. Private Couple Content
Your couple workspace is intended to be private to you and your invited partner. We do not sell your private memories, messages, photos, answers, or attachments. Access controls and storage rules are designed so couple data is scoped to authorized users.
5. Service Providers
We use trusted providers to operate the service, including hosting, authentication, database, storage, email or notification, and payment providers. Current categories include Vercel, Supabase, Stripe, and any email or notification provider we configure for production. These providers process data only as needed to support Our Story.
6. Security
We use security measures such as authentication, private storage buckets, access policies, server-side validation, rate limits, and encrypted transport. Some message-related features are designed for stronger encryption over time, but no system is perfectly secure.
7. Retention
We keep account and couple workspace data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain backups. You can request deletion through Support.
8. Your Choices
You can update profile information in settings, manage billing through Stripe, delete certain content inside the app, and request account or data deletion through Support.
9. Children
Our Story is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as the product changes. The effective date will show when the latest version applies.
