Terms of Service
Effective June 5, 2026. These terms govern your access to and use of Our Story.
1. Agreement
By creating an account, subscribing, inviting a partner, or using Our Story, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be able to form a binding contract and must provide accurate account information. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity on your account.
3. Couple Workspaces and Invites
Our Story lets one user create a private couple workspace and invite one partner. Invite links should be shared only with the intended partner. You are responsible for confirming that the person joining your workspace is the correct person.
4. Subscriptions, Trials, and Billing
Our Story may offer a free trial and a paid Plus subscription. One active subscription can cover both partners in a couple workspace. Payments, renewals, cancellations, and billing details are processed by Stripe. Subscription features and prices may change, but changes will not reduce rights you already paid for during the current billing period unless required by law or platform policy.
5. Your Content
You keep ownership of photos, memories, answers, messages, files, profile information, and other content you add to Our Story. You grant us the limited rights needed to host, store, process, transmit, display, and back up that content so the service works for you and your partner.
6. Acceptable Use
You may not use Our Story to upload illegal content, harass others, impersonate someone, violate privacy rights, distribute malware, attack the service, attempt unauthorized access, scrape private data, or bypass usage limits, payment requirements, or security controls.
7. Sensitive Content and Relationship Safety
Our Story is a private journaling and communication product, not a crisis, medical, legal, therapy, or emergency service. Do not rely on Our Story to store the only copy of critical information. If you are in immediate danger or need emergency help, contact local emergency services.
8. Privacy and Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can be guaranteed perfectly secure. You are responsible for using strong passwords, protecting your devices, and sharing invite links carefully.
9. Intellectual Property
Our Story, including the product design, software, branding, features, and content we provide, is owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or misuse the service except as allowed by law.
10. Third-Party Services
Our Story relies on third-party providers such as hosting, database, authentication, storage, payment, and analytics providers. Those services may have their own terms and privacy practices.
11. Termination
You may stop using Our Story at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users, fail to pay required fees, or use the service unlawfully.
12. Disclaimers
Our Story is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, relationship outcomes, data restoration, or that every feature will always remain available.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Our Story will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill. Our total liability for claims related to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to Our Story in the three months before the claim.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms as the product evolves. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
